Trainee Air Traffic Controllers, UK - Register your interest for 2021

To be eligible to apply you must:

  • be educated to A level or degree level or an equivalent standard, ideally in either a science, maths or IT related subject
  • have at least 5 GCSEs or an equivalent standard at grade C/4 or above, to include English and Maths
  • be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
  • be in good health as you will need to pass a Class 3 medical (as required by the CAA)
  • have a clean driving licence (airside driving may be required)

If you have airport or aviation experience this is advantageous, but not essential.

We will be holding assesments during 2020 with a start likely to be in 2021.

Operations Supervisor ATS (Gatwick) 

ANS are now recruiting for an Operations Supervisor to be responsible for the day-to-day safe and effective operation of the Gatwick Control Tower.  Reporting to the Tower Operations Manager, the role ensures a smooth and safe operation by actively managing the Gatwick Tower Operation including: the effective co-ordination between Tower, Airfield, Terminal Control and other core services, managing the ATCO seating plan, responding to occurrences and events that effect the operation including the co-ordination and management of emergencies and incidents. 

The successful candidate will:

  • hold or have previously held an ATCO licence at a high intensity airfield (there will be no requirement for the Operations Supervisor role to hold a London Gatwick validation)
  • have previous supervisory experience
  • demonstrate a good knowledge of air traffic systems and ATC safety management systems and regulations; ideally have experience in the London TMA
  • demonstrate the ability to deal with an unpredictable workload in a pressurised environment
  • have a full, clean driving licence
